How to setup MFA on the Eversports Manager

Step by step guide on how to setup and login with MFA

At Eversports, we take the protection of your data — and your customers’ data — very seriously. To make sure your company's information stays secure at all times, we’re introducing Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) on the Eversports Manager.

💡 What is MFA/2FA?

MFA adds an extra layer of protection to your account. In addition to your password, you confirm your login with an additional factor. In our case, MFA includes two steps, also known as 2-Factor-Authentication (2FA):

  1. your Eversports password and
  2. a code from your authenticator app.

This ensures that only authorized users can access your company's data, even if your password is ever to be compromised.

Why it matters for you as a sports provider
As a studio owner or manager, your Eversports account gives access to sensitive data — from customer contact details to payment information and membership revenues. MFA/2FA helps protect this information from unauthorized access and keeps your business, your staff, and your customers safe.

📆 When will MFA be introduced?

  • MFA/2FA will gradually be rolled out to partners as a security feature from 27.10.2025. If it's rolled out to you, it will be prompted the next time when you try to login.
  • Skip setup until 30.11.2025: 
    If you need access to the Eversports manager urgently, you can simply skip the setup, and take time to setup 2FA until 30.11.2025.
  • Deadline:
    MFA will be mandatory by December 1, 2025. From that date onwards, you can not skip but need to setup 2FA right away.

 

👩🏻‍💻🧑🏻‍💻 For whom is MFA mandatory? 

MFA/2FA will be mandatory for all users that have at least access and rights of the roles:
  • admin
  • leading employee, and 
  • tax consultant.

These roles have access to sensitive customer and financial data and therefore require specially protected login procedures.

Subsequently, it will also be available for all other roles as an optional setup.

📌 How to set up MFA/2FA for your Eversports Manager

MFA - Start1

Setting up MFA/2FA only takes a few minutes and makes your Eversports account much more secure. Here’s how you can do it on desktop or mobile:


💻 Setup on your desktop

1. Download an authenticator app

  • Download an authenticator app of your choice (e.g. Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, or Authy) to your (mobile) device

  • Verify "I have downloaded an authenticator app." in order to continue.

2. Connect the authenticator app with Eversports

  • Open the authenticator app on your (mobile) device and add a new account: 

    • select "Scan a QR code"

    • scan the QR code shown in your Eversports Manager with your camera

  • Your authenticator app is now connected to your Eversports account.

3. Confirm your setup with 2FA

  • In the authenticator app, you’ll see a 6-digit code for your Eversports account.

  • Enter this code into the Eversports Manager and click “Confirm code.”

4. Last step - Important: Download your recovery codes

  • Click “Download recovery codes.”

  • Save these codes in a safe place on your computer or phone.
    👉 You’ll need them if you lose your mobile device or want to set up 2FA again on a new device.

📱 Setup on your mobile device (iOS / Android)

1. Download an authenticator app

  • Download an authenticator app of your choice (e.g. Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, or Authy) to your (mobile) device

2. Connect the authenticator app with Eversports

  • Open the authenticator app on your (mobile) device and add a new account: 
    • Select "Enter a setup key" (= manual setup) and enter:

      • Account name: your Eversports email address

      • Setup key: enter the manual setup key shown in your Eversports Manager into the app

      • (optional) Issuer name: Eversports Manager

  • Click on "Add" - Your authenticator app is now connected to your Eversports account.

3. Confirm your setup with 2FA

  • In the authenticator app, you’ll see a 6-digit code for your Eversports account.
  • Enter this code into the Eversports Manager and click “Confirm code.” - You're almost done.

4. Final step: Important: Download your recovery codes

  • Click “Download recovery codes.”

  • Save these codes in a safe and easy-to-find place on your device.
    👉 You’ll need them if you lose your phone or change devices.

🔐 Log in to your Eversports Manager with 2FA

  1. Login into your Eversports Manager with your email and password as usual.

  2. Open your authenticator app, copy the 6-digit verification code, and paste it into the Eversports login screen.

  3. (Optional) Check “Remember me for 30 days” to skip 2FA on this device for the next four weeks.
    ⚠️ Use this only on your personal device, not on shared or studio computers.

⁉️ FAQs and common questions

  1. What do I do when I use a shared account among several employees?
    • Using 1 shared account among several people does not comply to the security standards, because:
      • you can not track who performed an action, e.g. who sold a product, signed in a customer, signed out a customer, canceled a class, send out an email, etc.
      • as soon as a person stops working for you, you have to renew the login credentials to ensure data protection.
    • Instead, we advise you to create individual accounts for each person that enters your Eversports Manager to ensure a high security level.
      You can find all information on how to create individual accounts and link the correct rights to each one.
  2. Do I have to login with 2FA every time?
    • If you login on your personal device (that only you use):
      • checkbox "Keep me logged in for 30 days", will will allow you to stay logged in for  up to 30 days.
      • You can close tabs and windows on your personal device, or be inactive for a longer time - you will stay logged in as long as you don't logout manually.
    • If you login on a shared device (that you use among several employees):
      • we recommend to login with 2FA each time, to ensure a high security
      • you’ll be logged out automatically after 60 minutes of inactivity (or 12 hours max)
    • Every time you log out manually or are logged out automatically, you’ll need to log in again with your email + password + 2FA.
  1. How long is a 2FA verification code valid?
    Each code is valid for 30 seconds, then it refreshes automatically in your app.
  2. What if I lose access to my mobile device?
    Use one of your recovery codes to log in. If you no longer have those, please contact Eversports Customer Support to help you regain access securely. (See helpcenter article on how to recover.)


Note: Setting up 2FA only takes a few minutes and greatly improves your account’s protection. Once activated, you can log in safely anytime — knowing your studio’s data and your customers’ trust are protected.
