How to use discount codes for referrals

Use your regular customers to attract new ones

It's no secret - new customers often discover your studio thanks to recommendations from existing ones. Your loyal customers are one of your most valuable channels for attracting new people to your offers.

With Eversports Manager, you can take full advantage of this by encouraging referrals and awarding your regular customers for bringing friends or family to your studio.

Discount codes, available in the Marketing section of your Eversports Manager, are the ideal tool to support your referral programme.

1. Create Individual Discount Codes for Your Top Customers

  • Go to Marketing > Promotion in your Eversports Manager
  • Click on Create new promotion to create discount codes with individual codes for specific loyal customers

  • Give your code a name (e.g. Discount code for Colin). This name is used in the Manager so that you can identify the promotion.
  • Decide on a price reduction that your customers should receive by redeeming this promotion and click on Proceed to Settings.
  • Decide on the name of promo code (e.g. FreeTrialClass).

Note: The name is for internal use only. The promo code is what should be shared with customers or partners.

    • Select your Trial Products

    • Set additional restrictions or conditions to control how the promotion is used.
For trial classes, we recommend setting the customer limit to 1, ensuring each customer can redeem the discount only once - after all, the idea is for new customers to try out your classes.

Your regular customers can share their personal codes with friends. New customers can use the code to purchase a discounted trial product.

  • Track the Success:
In the discount code overview, you can monitor how often each code has been redeemed. This makes it easy to see which customer are referring the most new clients. You can even turn this into a friendly competition, offering rewards to those who bring in the most new faces. This approach also works well if you collaborate with influencers or partners promoting your trial products.

2. Create One Discount Code for All Customers

If you don't need to track individual referrers, you can simply:

  • Create one unlimited discount code
  • Share the code with everyone - making it easy to access for potential new customers

In this case, you would manually ask new customers who referred them, so you can personally thank or reward the original customer.

Promote Your Referral Programme via Automated Emails

You can use the existing automated mails, e.g. the mails in the menu Marketing or the automated mails in the service settings, to promote your referral program.

Example text to include:

Don’t feel like coming alone? Bring a friend and we’ll reward your referral!
Invite someone who signs up in advance using the code XXXXXX. When you arrive, you’ll receive X% off your next purchase.

Use Multiple Channels to Promote Referrals

Aside from automated emails, it's highly effective to promote your referral programme through:

  • Your website or booking widget
  • Social media platforms
  • In-person at your studio or events
